Milla is very cute and very cuddly and she purrs a lot. Cuddling and purring are behaviors of which I unreservedly approve. In those ways, Milla reminds me of Sophia when she was about the same age last year. Sophia was very cuddly then and she had quite the little motor. From what Kristen tells me, she still is and she still does—especially on cold mornings—although she is more of an independent, tree-climbing explorer during the day now. I hope Milla always has a cuddle and a purr for me.
I started this entry typing with just my right hand while cradling sleepy-eyed Milla in my left arm, but she has since decided to move to my desk to investigate a bowl I set there about an hour or so ago. She sniffed at a single cherry she had already licked and played with earlier (even lifting and holding it by its stem then) and lapped up some water from the bottom of the bowl before patrolling the rest of my desk.
Milla seems to like to be near me while I am in my office and while she is atop my desk, she is neither biting nor clawing the power and data cables below and she is safe from potential squishing by my enormous human feet or my fast-rolling chair. Of course, while Milla is prowling my desktop, my keyboard is not safe from being stomped on by little kitten paws—something she tends to do in her efforts to reach my display while I play Oblivion. She really seems to like Oblivion.
I love having a kitten.
