I was expecting a brief visit from Blanca today after school—she was going to meet me as soon as my class ended then spend about thirty to forty-five minutes with me before leaving for an appointment—but she surprised me by showing up at my apartment last night instead. She brought not only her wonderful self, but also cherries and strawberries.
We visited again this evening, this time with Danny over dinner at Kabob House Halal. Blanca and Danny shared a roughly oval-shaped arrangement of kabob meat (sans skewers) surrounding rice with a side of spiced onion strips and I had a falafel sandwich. The food was tasty, the guy running the place was very friendly, and of course the company was good.
These were short visits, but it was nice to see and talk with Blanca and Danny again in person.
Blanca is awesome.
