Life has been somewhat strange lately, but pretty good overall.
Blanca told me on the twelfth that she and Xaime were not actually married just twenty days after she left me for him as her Facebook profile had announced, but that they had "just put that as our status". That seems a strange thing for them to do considering how recently she was in a relationship with me.
My romantic relationship with Blanca was a short one, but we are old friends whose friendship grew stronger and closer than ever over several months before it turned romantic. I think that contributed significantly to how much I was hurt by the abrupt end of our romantic relationship then again by the false news that Blanca and Xaime had married so quickly. I felt as though I had lost not only my girlfriend, but my best and closest friend.
While I have no love life, I do have quite a bit of work. I have been working for Zynga Game Network in their Los Gatos studio for the past three weeks. I started as a so-called contractor, but the company soon offered me a regular full-time position. I expect to sign on officially next week if we can work out a few contract issues.
I love working in downtown Los Gatos. The commute is easy, there are plenty of great restaurants and coffee shops and even a book store within easy walking distance, and I can take a pleasant stroll around the town square or rest my eyes upon lovely green hills whenever I like. I even get to visit with one of my best friends more frequently.
I will try to write more about work and life in general soon. At the moment, there is a certain kitty who looks like she needs a good cuddle.
